Spirit & Awards

Let's get our spirit on!
Schools can earn points by completing tasks in the listed categories in the chart below! Do your best to represent your school and the conference theme to the fullest!

Spirit Point System: Many of the point calculations will be through social media outlets, so it is suggested that participants come to the conference with at least one member having Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter on a mobile device with internet access (the more members with these capabilities, the better off the team will be).
Make sure to follows us @sw_conf ! All posts must have the hashtag #SWACURH2018 to receive points! We will start counting points over social media on September 11th, 2018 (one month before RLC!) Posts submitted before conference will earn 10 points and you can earn up to 50 points!.
Instagram Contest: To earn points, the school must post a photo or video that explains how they are animating their leadership at the Regional Leadership Conference.

Scavenger Hunt: There will be 10 cartoon characters on ducks hidden around OSU’s campus during the conference. Hiding places will range from easy to hard. To earn points, the school must take a photo/video of a group or individual with the cartoon character duck and the school’s name and send it by Direct Message to @sw_conf on Instagram or Twitter. Each character found will be worth 10 points with a maximum of 100 points.
The SWACURH 2018 Spirit Stick will be awarded twice on both Friday and Saturday during lunch and dinner. The spirit stick will be awarded to the school with the most likes on their photo/video before either lunch or dinner or the school that as a group has displayed the most enthusiasm for that morning or afternoon.

Duckoration: Duckorations are another point opportunity, these will be ducks decorated by your delegation and should match the conference theme, and include the school's name. The ducks will be put up on display for other schools to see and will be judged at the end of the regional leadership conference. The winners will receive an award at banquet.

Banners: You can find this information on our Banner page!

Roll Call: You can find this information on our Roll Call page!

NOTE: Display and Duckoration must be turned in at registration.

During Conference
Chant Battles: At previous conferences schools would chant back and forth at each other to show off school spirit and meet other schools. At Regional Leadership Conference 2018 there will be what are called Chant Battles that will give each school the opportunity to use those awesome chants in order to earn some points!

One school will be seeking out another school to participate in a Chant Battle! The challenging school will ask an RLC staff member or volunteer to judge the battle. Once both schools are through chanting, the RLC staff member or volunteer will choose a winner and send in a picture with the winning school to our Snapchat at sw_conf. The winner will be awarded 30 points!

Philanthropy: Complete the various tasks for philanthropy and raise points for your delegation.
This year for SWACURH Regional Leadership Conference 2018 we will be conducting 3 different philanthropies:

First: The canned food drive! Either collect cans on your campus and bring them with you to the regional leadership conference or donate cans to your local food bank. Points will be decided by the number of cans collected by October 11th.

Second: Decorating beanie hats for children with cancer! Decorate the beanies creatively and write notes to go with them! Points will be decided by effort and quality of the beanies as well as creativity.
Third: Making pop can tab bracelets to be donated to the Oklahoma city zoo as part of their "Recycling is Beautiful" campaign. Points will be decided by the amount of pop tabs collected as well as the effort, quality, and attitude put into making the bracelets.
Pop can tabs and canned food items brought to the regional leadership conference will be collected at registration.
